Our Story

We started our onsite school on Monday 16th September, 2019 with four (4) registered pupils, one administrator and two teachers. The  school continued her academic activities in her premises till 30th March, 2020 when all learning activities were moved online due to COVID. The number of the students remained the same until January 2021 when it rose to 18. Since then, we have constantly grown in number.

During the COVID, the school thought her students using flip videos created by the class teachers and sent activity worksheets to the children's homes. As time went on, the school graduated into creating and using live worksheets. By February 2023, we began building our Google Classroom and continued our virtual class using that platform. Note that we still use all these platforms (flip videos-You Tube, Liveworksheets and Google Classroom)  till date.

Akutoria Academy has gotten every governmental approval required to enable us carry out our duties as an educational institute. We also run a termly Professional Development Training (PDT) for all our teaching and non-teaching staff in order to update ourselves with the latest 21st century best practices. This is to enable us discharge our duties well in the coming term.
